The Intertextile Shenzhen Apparel Fabrics & Yarn Expo concluded on June 13 with nearly 40,000 visitors from 64 countries.
Highlights included two new zones—Fashion Gallery and The Closet—showcasing eco-friendly materials, sustainable dyes, and digital fashion technologies. Organizers emphasized South China’s growing role as an innovation hub for textiles and apparel sourcing.

 


 

2. Future Fabrics Expo Returns to London Emphasizing Sustainability

The Future Fabrics Expo 2025 is scheduled for June 24–25 at Magazine London. The event, spanning 3,200 m², will present thousands of verified sustainable materials—spanning apparel, home textiles, and interiors. It includes an Innovation Hub, seminars, and dedicated zones for footwear and home design. This marks its 14th year as a pivotal sustainable sourcing event.

 


 

3. New Stretch & Sustainable Yarns Debut for Knits

        Teijin Frontier introduced a next-gen stretch fabric crafted from recycled polyester, designed for softness and breathability.

        Taekwang Industry of South Korea launched a new plant-based nylon yarn aimed at knitwear.

These launches highlight the continued fusion of performance and sustainability in fabric innovation.

Turkey’s textile exports to African and Asian markets surged in Q1 2025, supported by investments and strategic repositioning—including opening factories in China and ramping up nonwoven production.
